Coastal Foraging Experiences for Teams.

At Connection Craft, teams spend an afternoon immersed in the coastal wild:
walking tide pools, harvesting mussels by hand, and cooking over an open flame.

The experience creates shared memories and real bonds through an experience teams can’t get anywhere else.

How it Works

1. Choose Your Date

We’ll help identify the best tide window for your preferred week. From there, we confirm the time and handle all logistics.

4. Forage Responsibly

Under guidance, your team harvests mussels by hand while learning about coastal ecology and ethical harvesting.

2. Prep Your Team

You’ll receive a simple checklist with what to wear, what to bring, and how to prepare for the coastal terrain.

5. Cook & Share a Meal

We return to the fire, prepare the mussels, and share a communal meal together.

3. Meet on the Shore

We gather at the Davenport coastline for a short orientation and safety briefing.

6. Wrap-Up & Reflect

Teams take time to reflect on the experience, connect insights to their work, and head back with renewed clarity and stronger bonds.

What Teams Gain

Bonding Across Teams & Organizations

Hierarchies fade as teams forage together. Your team will engage in hands-on experiences that bring people together across roles and seniority, encouraging trust, perspective, and collaboration in ways the office rarely allows.

Re-Ignited Team Energy

Cooking, laughing, and celebrating a shared harvest sparks joy and pride. Teams return energized, with an incredibly unique memory to share and a renewed sense of camaraderie.

A Reset and Recharge

The coast demands presence. Observing the ocean, feeling the water and wind, and slowing down to cook and reflect gives participants mental clarity, emotional regulation, and a needed break from work’s pace.

The Experience

Your team begins on the coastal shoreline at low tide, exploring mussel beds, tide pools, and the surrounding ocean ecosystem.

Under expert guidance, participants harvest mussels responsibly while learning about the science of the intertidal ecosystem and sustainability practices.

After foraging, the group gathers around a fire to prepare the catch and share a meal.

This hands-on work, combined with facilitated reflection, encourages collaboration, levels hierarchy, and strengthens team bonds.

By the end of the experience, participants have not only engaged in a unique outdoor adventure, they’ve stepped back from daily routines, refreshed their perspective, and left with shared memories that will carry into the culture of their teams.
